Meet Our Board

The MSSPA Board of Directors is composed of dedicated leaders and professionals who share a common mission—to strengthen and empower the multicultural Spanish-speaking provider community through collaboration, advocacy, and education.

Marilyn Medrano, MSSPA Co-Founder & Treasurer.

Marilyn Medrano is a visionary educator and leader, co-founder and Treasurer of the Multicultural Spanish-Speaking Providers Association (MSSPA). With over 17 years of experience in early childhood education, she has been a strong advocate for the rights, linguistic justice, and educational equity of early childhood providers in Spanish-speaking communities. She holds a Montessori Certification (AMS) in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics.

As a founding member of MSSPA, Marilyn has played a key role in building a collective voice that represents, strengthens, and empowers Latina educators in the District of Columbia. Her leadership has been instrumental in positioning MSSPA as an organization that drives structural change, eliminating systemic barriers and promoting equal opportunities within the early childhood sector.

Her vision is to foster a space where small business leaders and educators can find guidance, support, and training to navigate the bureaucratic system, becoming an essential link between providers and the institutions that regulate early education. Under her leadership, MSSPA has become a collective movement that promotes collaboration, representation, and advocacy for the rights of Spanish-speaking early childhood providers.
