The Multicultural Spanish-Speaking Providers Association (MSSPA) is a nonprofit professional organization that supports Spanish-speaking early childhood educators in Washington D.C., promoting labor, language, and education justice.

Basic Member (USD 35/year): Essential resources, policy updates, access to the online community, and limited networking opportunities.
Professional Member (USD 50/year): All Basic benefits, plus online workshops, policy guidance, funding opportunities, and expanded networking.
Leader Member (USD 80/year): All Professional benefits, plus exclusive events, leadership opportunities, recognition, and advocacy involvement.

By joining, you become part of a professional network that advocates for linguistic access, educational quality, and labor justice. Your membership also supports CDA renewal, which requires affiliation with an early education organization.

Membership is valid for one year from the month of registration.

The Child Development Associate (CDA) credential certifies essential skills for early childhood education professionals. It can be completed in 6 to 12 months, for example, through the CDA Council Infant and Toddler Center program.

DC residents can earn their CDA at community institutions such as Briya, Family Place, or UDC (University of the District of Columbia).
MSSPA can guide you through the CDA application process at UDC.

For DC residents, the program is generally free. However, it requires time, commitment, and study to complete coursework and portfolio requirements.

The CDA is the first step toward entering or advancing in early childhood education.
It provides 6 college credits that can be applied toward an AA or BA in Early Childhood Education, helping you build the skills and knowledge needed to grow professionally. -
